إِلَى يَومِ الوَقْتِ المَعلُومِ

"Till the Day of the time appointed."

'Ilá Yawmi Al-Waqti Al-Ma`lūmi

قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغوِيَنَّهُم أَجْمَعِينَ

[Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all,

Qala Fabi`izzatika La'ughwiyannahum 'Ajma`ina

إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنهُمُ المُخلَصِينَ

"Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)."

'Illa `Ibadaka Minhumu Al-Mukhlaşina

قَالَ فَالحَقُّ وَالحَقَّ أَقُولُ

(Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say,

Qala Falĥaqqu Wa Al-Ĥaqqa 'Aqūlu

لَأَملَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكَ وَمِمَّنتَبِعَكَ مِنهُم أَجْمَعِينَ

That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together."

La'amla'anna Jahannama Minka Wa Mimman Tabi`aka Minhum 'Ajma`ina

قُل مَا أَسأَلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجْر ٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ المُتَكَلِّفِينَ

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Qur'an), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist).

Qul Ma 'As'alukum `Alayhi Min 'Ajrin Wa Ma 'Ana Mina Al-Mutakallifina

إِن هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكر ٌ لِلعَالَمِينَ

"It (this Qur'an) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin(mankind and jinns).

'In Huwa 'Illa Dhikrun Lil`alamina

وَلَتَعلَمُنَّ نَبَأَه ُُ بَعدَ حِين ٍ

"And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while."
